Venom Opens Big At The Box Office In China

Sony's Venom movie has exceeded all expectations as it has finally come out in China and is already making a lot of money at the Box Office.

The movie had one of the biggest opening days of all time over in China and it will increase the film's overall Box Office intake.

As reported by Forbes, Venom had an opening day intake of $34.2 million on Friday.

This opening day exceeds that of Captain America: Civil War, Avengers: Age of Ultron, and even Star Wars: The Force Awakens. It also beat the opening day for last year's Spider-Man: Homecoming which made $21.6 million.

If these numbers hold out, Venom could have a huge opening weekend of $95 million if there are no huge drop offs.

There's a chance this could be possible since word of mouth among fans is more favorable compared to critic reviews.

In terms of its overall gross in China, Forbes predicts the movie could gross close to $200 million when all is said and done. If the movie proves to be more popular, it could even get higher numbers.

Currently, Venom has earned $565 million worldwide even without China. With China's big gross, the final tally for the movie could be around $700 million or $750 million.

Venom will have made more money worldwide than Justice League, Ant-Man and the Wasp and possibly even The Amazing Spider-Man 2.

With numbers this high, it's more than likely we should see a sequel made in the near future. Venom and Carnage is a real possibility now!
