Star Wars: The Last Jedi Is The Best Selling Blu-ray In 2018 Thus Far

Despite being the most polarizing Star Wars movie ever released to date, Star Wars: The Last Jedi is the best selling Blu-ray of 2018 thus far.

The divisive movie beat out other favorite films such as Thor: Raganrok and Black Panther just to name a few.

The Numbers has updated its website and it reveals that Star Wars: The Last Jedi is the best selling Blu-ray movie of 2018. The movie has sold 3,019,432 units so far in North America earning a healthy revenue of $69,409,409.

The Last Jedi beat out Black Panther which is in second place earning 2,626,92 units with $59,312,352 in revenue earned. The third most popular movie is Thor: Ragnarok with 2,342,413 units sold earning $52,625,576 in total.

That being said, this list is a little outdated because there is currently no data for Avengers: Infinity War at the moment.

Avengers: Infinity War grossed over $2 billion at the Box Office earlier this year and it likely going to be the most popular movie of 2018.

This list is interesting because it shows that The Last Jedi is a movie that is both loved and hated by many Star Wars fans.

No matter how many people say they hate the film, the movie is still popular and loved by another portion of the Star Wars community.

It will be interesting to see how well Solo: A Star Wars Story fares in the Blu-ray market when it comes out later this year.

Sadly, the movie was a Box Office failure when it came out in cinemas back in May. Maybe the home market might improve the movie's reception?
