Kevin Smith Visits The Set Of Star Wars: Episode IX

American filmmaker Kevin Smith is lucky because he had a chance to visit the set of Star Wars: Episode IX earlier this year.

While he cannot share many details about the movie yet, he did say that he cried on the set.

Kevin Smith also said that he got to see a "career-best performance" so one of the actors on set impressed him a lot.

Smith described his time on set during an interview with Good Morning America (via ScreenRant). You can see his comments posted down below.

"J.J.'s doing the lord's work. This movie looks fantastic. It's a year away, but man, it looks fantastic. I wept on set because I saw somebody give a career-best performance. Somebody I've seen in these movies before. I rolled a tear, it was so darn powerful. Biggest set I've ever seen in my life. The dude's not directing a movie. It's like he's directing a small country.

Disney and Lucasfilm are very secretive when it comes to Star Wars movies, so the public won't know much about the film until it eventually comes out sometime next year.

It is rumored though that the first teaser trailer could be coming out as soon as later this month!

Star Wars: Episode IX releases in North America on December 20th, 2019.

Cast members returning to the film are Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, Adam Driver and even Mark Hamill. The movie will also see the return of Billy Dee Williams reprising his role as Lando Calrissian.
