Disney and Lucasfilm have revealed the first image of 'The Mandalorian' Star Wars TV show that is going to air sometime next year. The TV series will see a lot of directors directing certain episodes in its first season.

Aside from the first image you see from 'The Mandalorian' above, Lucasfilm made a bigger announcement for the show. You can read the official details below as seen on the website.

"Production on the first Star Wars live-action streaming series has begun! After the stories of Jango and Boba Fett, another warrior emerges in the Star Wars universe. The Mandalorian is set after the fall of the Empire and before the emergence of the First Order. We follow the travails of a lone gunfighter in the outer reaches of the galaxy far from the authority of the New Republic. The series will be written and executive produced by Emmy-nominated producer and actor Jon Favreau, as previously announced, with Dave Filoni (Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Star Wars Rebels) directing the first episode. Additional episodic directors include Deborah Chow (Jessica Jones), Rick Famuyiwa (Dope), Bryce Dallas Howard (Solemates), and Taika Waititi (Thor: Ragnarok). It will be executive produced by Jon Favreau, Dave Filoni, Kathleen Kennedy, and Colin Wilson. Karen Gilchrist will serve as co-executive producer. Stay tuned to for updates."

The Mandalorian will focus on the character you see above and will be seen as a successor to both Boba Fett and Jango Fett.

While we're not sure if the character is related to the Fetts, it's cool the character will be wearing the same type of armor.

Star Wars: The Mandalorian will be airing on Disney's own streaming service debuting sometime next year. Hopefully it's good because this will be the first live action Star Wars TV show ever made!
