Star Wars Cassian Andor And Loki TV Series Announced By Disney

Disney's own streaming service called 'Disney Plus' is due out sometime in 2019 and the company is already stacking it with a lot of content.

Today Disney has announced a new Star Wars Cassian Andor TV series as well as a Marvel Loki series too!

Disney made the announcement for the Cassian Andor TV series over on the official Star Wars website today. Diego Luna is returning to star as Cassian Andor. You can read his comments about the TV show posted below.

"Going back to the Star Wars universe is very special for me. I have so many memories of the great work we did together and the relationships I made throughout the journey. We have a fantastic adventure ahead of us, and this new exciting format will give us the chance to explore this character more deeply."

While no release date for the TV series has been announced, hopefully the first season can air in 2019.

The short synopsis says: "The rousing spy thriller will explore tales filled with espionage and daring missions to restore hope to a galaxy in the grip of a ruthless Empire".

In slightly related news, Disney also revealed that it's working on a Loki TV show from Marvel. Tom Hiddleston is set to return, although we're not sure yet when the TV series takes place.

It's possible it could be a prequel since the character met his demise in Avengers: Infinity War.

We should hear news about both TV series next year. Hopefully they don't disappoint the fans and critics.
