As released at the D23 Expo over the weekend, Disney has now released new footage for Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker. The new trailer isn't very long, but there are lots of interesting details.

There are two main things to take away from the new footage of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker.

One is footage of C-3PO having red eyes in one scene of the movie. This could be a small tease the character turns evil, although I doubt it's a full heel turn.

Another big reveal is Rey with a double bladed lightsaber that's the color red.

It looks like she could be turned into a Sith, although we don't know for sure if this is real or not. After all, the reveal could be some sort of dream sequence or something like that.

The trailer does not show any new characters as the other footage just shows more of Finn, Poe Dameron and General Leia just to name a few.

Emperor Palpatine is not in the new trailer, but we do know he's the big bad guy probably pulling all of the strings behind the scenes.

Anyway, you can check out the new trailer for the movie posted down below. Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker releases in North America on December 20th, 2019.
