Dragon Ball Super: Has Adult Gotenks Been Confirmed?

Dragon Ball Super, the upcoming installment of the popular meta-series, will premiere in Japan in July.
With the Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan advertised as the new transformation, fans will be getting a taste of familiarity with the new blue-haired warriors.
Gotenks, the fusion of Goten and Trunks, might make an appearance--this time as an adult--according to the International Business Times.
"Weekly Shonen Jump magazine revealed a small dialogue that mentioned Gotenks," Internation Business Times reported. "Apparently the dialogue is from Masako Nozawa, who is playing the voice actress for Goku, Goten, Gohan in the Japanese version."
Adult Gotenks has been featured in fan-series--Dragon Ball Absalon, most notably. And he is a playable character in Dragon Ball Heroes. He has, however, never been featured in an official Dragon Ball cartoon.
Gotenks first appeared in the Buu Saga. As a kid, he was strong enough to fight Super Buu. He nearly won, but Buu's trickery got the best of the arrogant youth when he absorbed him.
Adult Gotenks almost appeared in adult form in Dragon Ball GT. Goten asks Trunks if he wants to fuse, but Goku quickly stopped them.
It will likely be some time before Dragon Ball Super drops in the United States. But Dragon Ball Z: Revival of F will have a limited American release this August.
