There have been some rumors floating around that AJ Styles might be retiring from professional wrestling very soon. However, Styles has now responded to the rumors and it sounds like he's not hanging up his wrestling boots anytime soon.

A rumor was posted on Twitter that AJ Styles might be retiring from wrestling after WrestleMania 34 takes place in April 2018. Styles responded to the tweet with an emphatic "no" meaning he's still keen on wrestling.

Even though Styles is 40 years old, this is not an old age in the WWE. In recent times, WWE has relied on stars far older than Styles to carry its brand and reputation. You can just look at the Survivor Series card and see many older stars such as Shane McMahon, Triple H and Kurt Angle hogging the spotlight.

Not to mention Styles is still pretty much healthy despite having a high flying wresting style.

Styles has recently been doing DDP Yoga in order to make his body more flexible and pain free. DDP Yoga has helped Chris Jericho prolong his wrestling career after Jericho injured his back on Dancing with the Stars.

Styles' current WWE contract expires in early 2019 so it does not make sense for him to retire as early as April 2018.

The only thing that will make him retire early is if he gets a nasty career threatening injury. Let's hope Styles is able to protect himself so he won't have to retire early like Edge, Steve Austin and countless others.

Styles is the current WWE Champion and has quickly become the company's best wrestlers. Hopefully he is rewarded for his hard work by being in the WrestleMania 34 main event against Shinsuke Nakamura.
