Usually when a professional wrestler retires from the industry, they have a choice for their final opponent. This didn't really happen with Kurt Angle though because WWE kind of forced him to wrestle Baron Corbin in his farewell match.

Kurt Angle made the announcement on Raw that he's facing Baron Corbin at WrestleMania 35 and the reception from fans was very icy.

The crowd booed at the announcement and thousands more voiced their negative opinions online. The official YouTube video for the announcement has lots of thumbs down.

The reason people are angry at the announcement is because Baron Corbin is a boring mid-card wrestler. He's one of the last wrestlers that people want to see in a high profile match like this.

Well now it looks like WWE will be changing its mind after all of the negative feedback. You can read the statement below as first reported by the WrestleVotes Twitter page.

"From a source: Angle vs Corbin is being “reconsidered”. WWE did not expect this type of negative reaction, and thus, they don’t want such a negative feel to Kurt’s final contest.

I still don't know why WWE chose Baron Cobin as Angle's opponent.

After all, Batista was able to choose Triple H as his final opponent. Likewise Steve Austin wrestled The Rock and Ric Flair wrestled Shawn Michaels in their respective final matches for WWE.

Hopefully WWE gives the fans what they want and John Cena is Kurt Angle's last opponent. After all, John Cena's first opponent in WWE was Kurt Angle back in 2002!
