As reported a few days ago, the long rumored Boba Fett movie is not in production anymore since Disney and Lucasfilm now want to concentrate on The Mandalorian TV show instead.

A new report has now revealed what that Boba Fett movie could have been about.

According to sources reported by Entertainment Weekly, the movie would have been about Boba Fett and the other bounty hunters that were with him in The Empire Strikes Back.

It may have featured all of them in their own adventure during the time period of the original trilogy.

It's being said the movie was in pre-production as early as 2013 with Josh Trank originally set to be the director. After that, Logan director James Mangold was working on the movie, but now the whole project has been shelved.

That being said, the movie may not be dead forever because there is a small possibility that the film could be revived in the next few years.

Disney and Lucasfilm are just being cautious in order not to over-saturate the market with too many Star Wars films.

Anyway for the time being, The Mandalorian will be released next year to debut on Disney's own TV streaming service. You can check out a small synopsis for the TV show below.

"After the stories of Jango and Boba Fett, another warrior emerges in the Star Wars universe. The Mandalorian is set after the fall of the Empire and before the emergence of the First Order. We follow the travails of a lone gunfighter in the outer reaches of the galaxy far from the authority of the New Republic."

Disney and Lucasfilm lost quite a bit of money earlier this year when Solo: A Star Wars Story under-performed at the Box Office. This is why the studio isn't rushing to make anymore standalone movies soon.
