Tickets for the 2019 The Lion King remake is available now and it looks like it set a new record for Disney.

It is currently the highest selling live action Disney remake to date. This in turn could mean the movie will go on to have a massive Box Office weekend.

As reported by Fandango (via ComicBookMovie), The Lion King 2019 has the best first day sales from any live action Disney remake.

This means the movie has sold more tickets in 24 hours than Beauty and the Beast and Aladdin in the same time span.

Over 97 percent of fans are fans of the original animated classic and will be watching the remake. 73% of fans love live action Disney movies so there is a lot of interest from a wide variety of people.

The Lion King is also the second best seller this year behind Avengers: Endgame. Box Office analysts predict that The Lion King could gross over $200 million in its opening weekend over in North America.
