Not even the bad reviews from critics could stop Suicide Squad from having a second dominating week at the box office both globally and domestically.

"As Warner Bros.' 'Suicide Squad' continues to dominate the global marketplace, the DC Comics anti-superhero film now sets its sights on the $500 million mark worldwide with $465.4 million earned through this weekend," according to comScore's Senior Media Analyst Paul Dergarabedian.

"Meanwhile, Universal Studios has a very good weekend crossing the $1 billion mark in the international territories this week for the 10th consecutive year as their animated hit 'The Secret Life of Pets' closes in on the $600 million global milestone."

While the film did seem to rub some critics and fans the wrong way, some fans have come to the defense of the film.
