How did Stephen Strange become the Sorcerer Supreme? Well, it looks like we'll finally get to witness it with our own eyes in 2016.

Marvel has finally released a new teaser trailer for Doctor Strange and it looks like it's going to be quite trippy.

Doctor Strange is one of the Marvel characters that at times gets swept under the rug. Not anymore.

Perhaps what is a bit scary is the fact that the film is an origin film that will take comic book fans on a visual journey of Doctor Strange's early days.

Origin stories are always a daunting task for studios however this one looks quite intense.

The visual and mind-bending nature of the film shows itself briefly in the teaser trailer. From the warping of worlds to generating a city scape and holding it upside down over itself, Marvel has created a visual that sets your mind back to Christopher Nolan's Inception. Benedict Cumberbatch is tasked with bringing a pretty complex character to life but it appears as if he fits the bill.

Only time will tell whether or not Marvel has produced yet another hit film.

Doctor Strange is scheduled to hit theaters on November 4. You can check out the teaser trailer for the film below and expect follow-up trailers as the release date for the film nears.
