Marvel has been on a roll lately, although the TV shows of Marvel's Inhumans and Iron Fist have been the only stains in its resume.

There are many reasons why Marvel's Inhumans never clicked with fans and it's got to do with the show's budget.

As you may remember, the show debuted first in September on Imax screens around the world. The Box Office intake for the show was not good.

Even when the show aired on television, the ratings continue to plummet. Imax CEO, Rich Gelfond, commented more about the situation when asked by Deadline. You can read his comments down below.

Customers expected a production akin to a mega-budget blockbuster movie, rather than pilots for a television show. Moreover, the fact that this was Marvel IP set the bar at a level you wouldn't see from other pieces of content or IP because of the reputation and the high production value of Marvel movies.

The TV division is run by different people from the film universe which is why there is a difference in quality. Marvel initially wanted Inhumans to be a blockbuster movie, but plans changed.

One has to wonder if it was the right decision to make. At this rate, there does not look like there will be a second season of the show since viewers keep tuning out each and every week.

Another reason the show is being panned is because it does not portray the characters correctly.

The budget limitations means many of the characters do not get a chance to showoff their powers. It's a comic book TV series that features more talking than action!
