The Armageddon Expo event in New Zealand is great because it usually brings Kiwis lots of International stars from around the world. That said, sometimes guests have busy work schedules that prevent them from coming all the way to the other side of the world.

Sadly, two guests that were coming to the Wellington event have had to pull out today.

The Armageddon Expo Facebook page posted about the bad news earlier today. You can read some of the announcement posted down below.

*GUESTS CANCELLATION ANNOUNCEMENT*. We are disappointed to announce that unfortunately, due to change in their filming schedule, CATHERINE TATE and MAISIE RICHARDSON-SELLERS can no longer attend #WELLYGEDDON 2018.

We are hoping that Catherine will be able to attend #AUCKGEDDON later in the year and that Maisie will be able to attend the Tauranga/Christchurch events (but cannot confirm until later in the year). We know this is a blow, and we were equally disappointed. We are working on some potential replacements and we will be announcing an EPIC DCTV guest at 4:00pm TODAY!

Once again, we know this is frustrating, particularly for those travelling a distance for the event for these guests in particular, however we are working on some amazing replacement guests to add to the already stellar Wellington event line-up.

You can get refunds for any events you paid for by ringing 0800 TICKETEK (842 538) or by emailing

As of right now, these are the only guests that have pulled out so people like Jeremy Renner are still on board to appear at this year's event.

Maisie Richardson-Sellers stars as Vixen in The CW's DC's Legends of Tomorrow TV show. As for Catherine Tate, she is most famous for starring in the US version of The Office comedy TV series.

The Armageddon Expo is New Zealand's own version of Comic Con and always attracts a big crowd. The event has gone much bigger than before thanks to a rise in popularity in pop culture in today's modern society.
