Box Office: Aquaman Makes A Huge Splash Over In China

China is the first major country in the world to get Aquaman and the movie has already made a huge splash.

The movie had an impressive opening weekend over in China and will easily be the top earning DCEU film in the country.

As reported by Box Office Pro, Aquaman had an opening weekend of $93.6 million over in China.

Comparing this to other DCEU films, the opening weekend is higher than Justice League ($50.5 million) and Wonder Woman ($37.6 million). However the opening weekend is lower than the $107.6 million received by Venom back in October 2018.

Aquaman should have no trouble being the highest grossing DCEU film of all time over in China.

The highest tally so far is Justice League which earned $106 million last year. Aquaman could easily get close to $200 million by the end of its run.

I've seen Aquama for myself over the weekend and it's an entertaining movie. We'll be providing our review later this week, but I'm hoping other people around the world like the movie as much as I did.

Aquaman releases in North America on December 21st, 2018.
