Sony Pictures wanted to reinvigorate the Men in Black franchise with new stars as it just released Men in Black: International worldwide.

Well it looks like not many people care about the franchise anymore because the Box Office numbers are disappointing.

As reported by Box Office Pro, Men in Black: International only managed to open with an estimated $28.5 million in its opening weekend. This is far lower than the $51 million and more that the openings of the previous movies got.

It sounds like poor reviews and the changing of actors might be to blame for the film's failure. Instead of starring Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones, Tessa Thompson and Chris Hemsworth are now the leads.

The critic reviews for the film are also poor as the film only has a 24% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

The Audience Score is also not that great standing at only 66% from normal movie goers. The Cinemascore came in at a disappointing 'B' grade which is low for a blockbuster.

From a worldwide standpoint, the movie has only made over $102 million globally. The movie will have to do much better in order to recoup its $110 million budget. Anything over $300 million worldwide would be ideal for Sony Pictures.

Speaking of disappointments, Dark Phoenix is also struggling at the Box Office in its second weekend. In North America, the movie dropped 73% to earn over $9 million this weekend.

Dark Phoenix has only made $204.3 million globally with a budget of over $200 million. Therefore, the movie will be a Box Office flop if it cannot make more money in the weeks to come.
