Avengers 4: Chris Evans May Have Finished Playing Captain America

Chris Evans has played the role of Captain America in multiple movies ever since he got the role eight years ago.

Well now it sounds like he's finished playing the character and will be moving on to something else in the near future.

Chris Evans gave fans a small clue that he's done playing the character via a Twitter post he posted earlier today. You can read his official statement posted down below.

"Officially wrapped on Avengers 4. It was an emotional day to say the least. Playing this role over the last 8 years has been an honor. To everyone in front of the camera, behind the camera, and in the audience, thank you for the memories! Eternally grateful."

Chris Evans' contract with Marvel Studios expires after the Avengers 4 comes out so there this means the actor can move on to do other projects.

Evans has hinted in the past that he'd like to finish acting and give directing a go.

His tweet has been garnering a lot of attention today because people think he's given a clue that Captain America possibly dies for real at the end of Avengers 4.

Chris Hemsworth's Thor and Robert Downey Jr's Iron Man are also rumored to possibly die in the new film.

For now, we just have to wait and see what happens in Avengers 4 when the movie comes out next year.

It will be an emotional movie for many Marvel fans because the original lineup will be finished with the franchise forever.
