20th Century Fox has moved the release dates for two of its major blockbusters in order to increase their chances of earning a lot of money.

The movies that have release date changes includes both X-Men: Dark Phoenix and Alita: Battle Angel.

As reported by Deadline, X-Men: Dark Phoenix will no longer release on February 14th, 2019 even though the recent trailer showed that specific date. 20th Century Fox wants the movie to now release in Summer 2019 on June 7th, 2019 instead.

The move has been done to maximize the movie's potential in China as the movie received a lot of views from Chinese viewers this week.

This will be the second time X-Men: Dark Phoenix has been delayed since the movie was already moved from its original November 2018 release date.

Due to this move, 20th Century Fox has now delayed the Gambit movie from 2019 and will now release it on March 13th, 2020.

A director has yet to be named for the movie, but Channing Tatum is still set to play the main character.

Another big movie 20th Century Fox will be releasing in the near future is Alita: Battle Angel directed by Robert Rodriguez. It will now occupy the February 14th, 2019 release date moving from the crowded December 21st, 2018 release date.

20th Century Fox will instead re-release a PG-13 version of Deadpool 2 this Christmas. It will have some additional footage not seen before which should encourage fans to watch it on the big screen once again.
