Dragon Ball Super: Broly Movie Gets An Official Release Date In North America

Funimation Films has now announced the official release date for Dragon Ball Super: Broly over in North America. The movie will also have a World Premiere taking place in Hollywood, California.

Anyway as announced in a press release, the Dragon Ball Super: Broly animated movie will be out in the United States and Canada on January 16th, 2019.

Before fans get a chance to watch the movie, a World Premiere is happening on December 13th, 2018.

It's a red carpet event featuring "stars of the English cast, celebrity guests and studio executives". All of this takes place at the TCL Chinese Theater in Hollywood.

“We’re thrilled to finally share the official opening date of ‘Dragon Ball Super: Broly’ with fans since first announcing the acquisition in July, ” said Gen Fukunaga, CEO and President of Funimation. “From its updated art style to the assembly of canon characters new and old, ‘Dragon Ball Super: Broly’ is sure to please fans. Creator Akira Toriyama’s imagination and masterful storytelling truly shine through in this exciting new movie.”

The next time fans will hear more news about the movie is at the New York Comic Con event on October 5th, 2018. You can read the list of guests attending a panel posted below via the press release.

Masako Nozawa (original Japanese voice of Goku), the film’s director Tatsuya Nagamine, Sean Schemmel (current English voice of Goku) Christopher Sabat (current English voice of Vegeta), Monica Rial (current English voice of Bulma and panel emcee), Jason Douglas (current English voice of Beerus), Ian Sinclair (current English voice of Whis) and Vic Mignogna (reprising his role as English voice of Broly)
