Finally, Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures have announced that they want Tom Holland to play Spider-Man. As well as announcing the director for the all new Spider-Man movie, Jon Watts.

Holland is a British actor.

He is known for his role in the move "The Impossible," along with his role in the TV mini-series, "Wolf Hall." The producers were also impressed by his performance in the upcoming move "In the Heart of the Sea." He is the third actor to play the web slinger in just over ten years.

He is also the first out of the three to be closest to Parker's actual age.

"We love finding new and exciting voices to bring these characters to life.

We spent a lot of time with Jon and find his take and work inspiring." Watts is mainly known for his work on TV and movies like "Clown" and the Kevin Bacon movie, "Cop Car."

Back in February, Marvel and Sony announced that they were going to work together on Spider-Man.

That meant that Andrew Garfield had to step down from his current position as Spidey but also meant that Marvel was now allowed to use the character in their cinematic universe.

A win for Marvel who had decided that "Captain America: Civil War" would follow the "Civil War" plot in which Peter Parker is a central character.
