There's a dastardly new alien has made its way onto CW's "Supergirl." It'll be a tough match for our heroes. Some will be battling the monster of uncertainty in "Changing," the sixth episode of the second season.

A fight with an alien parasite leaves Supergirl drained of her powers. The Guardian arrives in order to help out while she's out of commission.

Alex is having a hard time accepting her new reality. Mon-El's career change turns out to be less than desirable.

Scientists have found a wolf who has been frozen in ice for over five thousand years. However, it's still warm. Kara has cornered Mon-El at the alien bar in order to question him about his job search. He agrees to train with her if she'll drink with him. Alex comes in, looking for Maggie.

She encourages Alex to tell her family. Winn gets an SOS from from the arctic station.

Supergirl is too drunk to go out on a mission so Hank and Alex investigate.

They find one survivor and take h back to the DEO, like fools! Even more foolish is the way they allow him to leave after a spiel about climate change.

A nasty slug crawls out of his mouth, up his face, and into his ear.

Alex comes out to Kara and admits that she probably had a crush on her high school best friend. Alex thinks she's been repressing her thoughts anytime romantic feelings towards a girl popped up. Jones, the survivor/new monster, is researching the slug.

His boss comes in to fire him but they do not like that and attack. Winn has been able to locate a video from when Jones first got infected. Supergirl and team go to after him.

Supergirl goes to punch him but he catches her fist and drains her powers. Winn figures out what and where the parasite came from. James comes in James demands his suit from Winn but it's not ready yet so her vehemently refuses. Alex confronts Kara because she thinks Kara isn't okay with her news. Kara ends up apologizing for making Alex feel like she couldn't talk to her about that kind of stuff.

The DEO gets an alert about an alien attack in an alley way. Supergirl goes to check it out and finds Mon-El working his new job. He's helping a loan shark collect.

Supergirl is less than happy. Winn gets a lead on Jones' next victim, his old boss who fired him for his views on climate change. Supergirl and Martian Manhunter go to stop him but end up getting drained.

Jones has mutated with all the alien juice he siphoned off. Alex goes to find M'gann in order to get blood for J'onn. Winn gives James his suit in order to continue guarding O'Riley from Jones. While in the bar, Alex runs into Mon-El. She demands he stand up and help out.

M'gann is reluctant to give J'onn any blood because it means revealing she's a White Martian. But she does anyway.

Jones attacks O' Riley while he's on the way to his event. Mon-El stops him but Jones quickly grabs him. Before he can get hurt, Guardian appears.

Mon-El and Guardian aren't alone, Winn is parked in a van nearby in order to offer his advice. They work together in order to fight Jones, but it doesn't seem to be enough. Kara wakes up. She flies to a power plant, in order to stock up on energy.

She's hoping too much power will stop Jones. She offers him her help first.

When he doesn't accept she feed him the power until he explodes. She thanks Mon-El and Guardian who's suite is made of lead and only reveals that he is a friend before riding away.

Winn and James agree that they want to continue being heroes. They agree not to tell Kara because she'll only try to stop them. Hank wakes up to M'gann sitting next to him. He knows the blood came from her. As he goes back to sleep, M'gann notes that his hand is trembling.

Alex tells Maggie that she told Kara. She kisses Maggie, but she rejects Alex.

After she misses work, Kara goes to check on her. They talk about it. Mon-El tries to be a better person but gets kidnapped by Cadmus for his effort.

"Changing" really zeroed in on the few life altering experiences occurring in "Supergirl." Alex is exploring a new side of her sexuality and Mon-El continues to muddle his way through Earth.

All around a good episode to explore Supergirl's actions when powerless. Kepp watching Monday at 8pm or on the CW site.
