The first ever The Lion King 2018 trailer was released earlier this week and the trailer has earned a lot of views. It has been announced that the trailer was seen 224.6 million times in the span of just 24 hours.

Although this is not a new record, this is still an amazing achievement.

The only film to get more views in 24 hours is Avengers: Infinity War which earned 230 million views in a day. Infinity War's record could be broken by the release of the first Avengers 4 trailer which should be released very soon.

Anyway, the official The Lion King Facebook page made the announcement for the trailer views. You can see the announcement posted down below.

"To our entire pride: Thank you for helping the teaser trailer for The Lion King become the most-viewed Disney trailer debut ever as it reached a record-breaking 224.6 million global views in 24 hours!"

Disney usually gets the most records when it comes to trailer views. Previous trailer view records were achieved by Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Thor: Ragnarok and the live action version of Beauty and the Beast.

At one point in history, the first The Lion King movie was one of the highest grossing movies of all time. This live action version could earn more money as it will attract a wider audience.

Anyway, The Lion King 2018 releases in North America on July 19th, 2019. Even though the movie is "live-action", it's mostly using CGI since it's too hard to train real African animals.
