Avengers 4 Set To Have A Definitive Ending

When Avengers: Infinity War came out earlier this year, it ended in a cliffhanger as the heroes were left defeated by Thanos.

If you don't like unfinished endings, you may be happy to know that the next movie won't be ending in a cliffhanger whatsoever when it releases in May 2019.

Kevin Feige was interviewed by the Toronto Sun (via ComicBookMovie) and he mentioned that Avengers 4 would have a definitive ending.

This is the end of the Phase 3 era of Marvel films because Phase 4 will focus more on the newer heroes. You can read his comments on the matter posted down below.

"But, storylines can come to an end. The best stories do come to an end. Return of the Jedi was an ending for a long time and as a 10-year-old in 1983 that carried me through 30 years until there was a sequel. That hasn’t happened before in the superhero genre. A new actor comes in and a new storyline starts right away. We wanted to do it this way because we think that the best stories have a definitive ending to a storyline. That’s certainly what’s going to happen next year with Avengers 4."

That's not to say the MCU will be finished after 2019 because there are still a lot more films planned in the pipeline.

Feige's words just mean the film will have a conclusive ending and the future will focus on other heroes and villains.

Avengers 4 will see the surviving heroes deal with the aftermath of Thanos erasing half of the living universe.

They should have a plan to get some of the heroes back and kill off Thanos before he starts ruining the Universe ever again.
