DC's most known characters have always been the holy trilogy of Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman. Despite how popular all of the three characters are, their Box Office intakes were all lower compared to Jason Momoa's Aquaman.

Aquaman has now grossed over $1 billion worldwide making it the first DCEU movie to reach that milestone. Not even Wonder Woman or Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice were able to reach that high.

Here is the list of previous DCEU movies and their Box Office grosses.

  • Man of Steel - $668 million
  • Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice - $873 million
  • Suicide Squad - $746 million
  • Wonder Woman - $821 million
  • Justice League - $657 million
  • Aquaman - $1 billion

If we're talking about all DC movies, Aquaman belongs in the same club as The Dark Knight and The Dark Knight Rises as the only other DC movies to gross over $1 billion worldwide.

Aquaman will gross more than those two movies thanks to a huge intake over in China.

Aquaman has currently made over $287 million in North America and has no signs of slowing down whatsoever. In the next few weeks or so, it could reach over the $300 million mark domestically.

If you have yet to see Aquaman, you can read the synopsis of the movie posted below. The movie is out now in cinemas worldwide.

"From Warner Bros. Pictures and director James Wan comes an acition-packed adventure that spans the vast, visually breathtaking underwater world of the seven seas, “Aquaman,” starring Jason Momoa in the title role. The film reveals the origin story of half-human, half-Atlantean Arthur Curry and takes him on the journey of his lifetime—one that will not only force him to face who he really is, but to discover if he is worthy of who he was born to be… a king."
