Christmas is less than a week away and many movie studios are expecting to earn lots of money at the Box Office. Three new releases are out in the next few days and they are all vying for attention.

Deadline has posted a preview for the Box Office and it looks like DC's Aquaman will be the biggest winner come Christmas.

Sure Aquaman won't match the grosses of The Force Awakens, Rogue One and The Last Jedi, but it is projected to earn more money compared to last year's poor Justice League movie.

According to the report, Aquaman is currently projected to earn between $65 million to $70 million in its traditional three day opening.

If we include Christmas Day and Boxing Day, the five day projection says Aquaman could have an opening as high as $120 million.

Should these numbers hold up, the $120 million opening should be bigger than the $111.9 million that Justice League received when it came out last year.

Aquaman has already made over $260 million worldwide so its release in North America will further increase its total.

Another movie projected to do well is Mary Poppins Returns from Disney.

Three day weekend projections see the film earning $35 million while it should earn as high as $75 million in its first week. Females and families are the target market for this film so it shouldn't affect Aquaman's earnings.

The last new release this Holiday season is the Transformers spin-off Bumblebee which stars Hailee Steinfeld and John Cena.

The well reviewed spin-off is expected to make $20 million to $25 million in the weekend. If the five way week is included, the movie could earn $35 million to $40 million.

December 2018 has been one of the best months when it comes to blockbuster movies. We've seen Aquaman, Bumblebee and Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse and we gave good reviews for every single one of these movies.
