Historically, DCEU movies opened big but suffered significant drops in their second weekend at the Box Office thanks to poor word of mouth.

Wonder Woman is the only DCEU film that did well in its second weekend. Well now we have another winner because Aquaman is still killing it at the Box Office too.

As reported by Box Office Pro, Aquaman's second weekend at the North America Box Office is an impressive $51.5 million! This is just a small drop of 23% when the filmed had $67.4 million in its opening weekend.

It's also worth mentioning that Aquaman's worldwide total now comes to $748.8 million. It has grossed higher than both Man of Steel and Justice League and should become the highest grossing DCEU film of all time in the weeks to come.

Mary Poppins Returns and Bumblebee also had great second weekends earning $28 million and $20.5 million respectively. The same can be said for Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse's third weekend earning a cool $18.3 million over the Holidays.

The biggest loser this weekend has to be the dreadful comedy called 'Holmes and Watson' starring Will Farrell and John C Reilly.

The bad film only grossed $7.3 million in its opening weekend and bad word of mouth means the film might not break even.

This is the last weekend of 2018 so next week we will be first report at the Box Office in 2019.

2019 is set to be an even bigger year for movies headlined by Avengers: Endgame and Star Wars: Episode IX as the two biggest ones.
