Release Dates Revealed For Mission Impossible 7 and 8

Paramount Pictures has now announced the official release dates for both Mission Impossible 7 and Mission Impossible 8. The films are being shot back-to-back and will be out during the Summer blockbuster season.

Deadline has reported that Mission Impossible 7 will be released first on July 23rd, 2021. One year later, Mission Impossible 8 will be released on August 5th, 2022.

Tom Cruise will reprise his role again as Ethan Hunt while Christopher McQuarrie will again be the director and writer. Christopher McQuarrie also directed the critically acclaimed Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation and Mission Impossible: Fallout.

Jim Gianopulos, Chairman and CEO of Paramount Pictures commented on the release of the future movies.

"We couldn’t be more excited to build on the massive success of Mission:Impossible—Fallout by reteaming with Chris and Tom on these next two films, following two successful collaborations. We’ve also enjoyed a great partnership with Skydance and David Ellison on these three most recent films and look forward to continued success together on this great franchise."

The Mission Impossible movie franchise started back in 1996 and has since grossed over $3.5 billion worldwide. It is one of the most profitable franchises for Paramount Pictures as the series usually gets good reviews all across the board.
