Known for his comedic video-game commentary, Felix Kjellberg has been crowned the king of YouTube in terms of his earnings. Kjellberg a.k.a. PewDiePie, earned more than his YouTube peers to top the Forbes top-paid YouTube stars.

"The 25-year-old Swede is the top-earning YouTube star on the planet, pulling in $12 million pretax over the past year, all for providing expletive-heavy commentary as he plays videogames," according to Forbes.

"Thanks to the millions of fans who make up his "bro army," advertisers are willing to pay a pretty penny to have their products featured in his videos."

The PewDiePie has 39.9 million subscribers on YouTube and his page has become one of the largest channels on the media site. While his earnings were discussed in the past by Howard Stern, who could not believe that he was making as much money as he was on YouTube, PewDiePie has proven his critics wrong once more.

When a new video is released on the channel, the view count speeds up thanks to eager fans who are always trying to check out his newest post.

PewDiePie is also releasing a new book in two days titled, "This Book Loves You."
