Macklemore may not be in headlines as of lately but he will be featured in the "Sonic Highways" documentary from the legendary rock band the Foo Fighters.

When Macklemore beat Kendrick Lamar for the best rap album at the Grammy's he didn't feel like he deserved it and ended up sending an apology text.

Now there is no more apologizing left but there is room for Macklemore to let the details of his musical thought process shine through the Foo Fighters documentary.

The documentary chronicles the origin of some of the most influential artists and genres in american music. It also documents the journey of the Foo Fighters in route to recording their new album which shares the title of the documentary.

When Macklemore isn't busy being a style icon, posing for photos in different outfits all over the world and performing for a sold out crowd, he is promoting the Seattle music scene. In the HBO documentary he will discuss coming out of Seattle and wanting to make a different type of hip-hop music so that he and Ryan Lewis could showcase their originality.

Recently he and Ryan Lewis have been featured on the song "Arrows" off "Lesser Oceans" the upcoming album from Fences.

The documentary is scheduled to air on October 17 on HBO.
