Unlike Disney's Marvel franchise, Warner Bros and DC have had a hard time getting positive reception for their movies.

The only positively reviewed DCEU movie released to date has been 2017's Wonder Woman movie. Well now it looks like another DC movie is a crowd pleaser because it sounds like Aquaman is getting praise so far.

While full online reviews won't be up until a later date, the social media embargo has lifted and the first critics have put up their opinions.

Heroic Hollywood has highlighted many Twitter responses from critics and it looks like things are looking good so far!

Heroic Hollywood's own Umberto Gonzalez has shared his opinion and says that Aquaman is the king of the DCEU. He cannot wait to watch the movie again as he likes it that much.

IGN's Tom Jorgensen had an interesting take and said Aquaman is the best DC movie released since The Dark Knight 2008. This means he may have liked Aquaman better than The Dark Knight Rises and even Wonder Woman.

Peter Sciretta from Slashfilm says Aquaman feels like a phase one Marvel movie, but that is a good thing.

It also sounds like the movie is fun and isn't dark and gritty like Man of Steel or Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.

This should be good news for both DC and Warner Bros because last year Justice League underperformed big time at the Box Office. With the positive reception of Aquaman, it looks the future should be bright for other DC movies.

Aquaman releases in North America on December 21st, 2018. Hopefully the movie is as good as the critics have said.
