While he has been out promoting the Chi-Raq movie these past couple of weeks, Nick Cannon stopped by the Ellen DeGeneres Show and talked a little bit about his family life as well as whether or not he has been dating anyone.

Cannon expressed loved for his 4-year-old twins who he playfully called, thing one and thing two.

When DeGeneres asked him about celebrating Thanksgiving together with his ex-wife Mariah Carey, Cannon responded by saying that they were family and they will always be family so it was only right that they celebrated that time together.

"It was such a beautiful experience to for the kids. You know we make the kids the number priority and for them to see their parents together and everyone having a great time," Cannon continued before interrupting his own words after seeing the family photo.

Both DeGeneres and Cannon agree that you have to show love in front of your kids and knowing that their parents still love each other is important.

Cannon told DeGeneres that he hasn't met Carey's boyfriend James Packer, however he does want to. He told DeGeneres that they have talked about it and everyone seems cool about it, so it really is just a matter of time before the two meet.

Cannon does not have a girlfriend and said he wasn't sure if he was ready for all of that yet. DeGeneres says he should be but Cannon says his kids and his business are his number one priorities.

Recently, Cannon visited the Howard Stern SiriusXM radio show to talk about his Lupus scare and more. You can catch Cannon in Chi-raq, which is out in theaters right now.
