The Mission Impossible series has been critically acclaimed ever since the series revitalized itself with its third entry released in 2006. Since that time, all of the movies that followed have been fresh on Rotten Tomatoes.
Well now we have an official name for Mission Impossible 6 thanks to Tom Cruise revealing the title on his official Instagram page. The name of the film will now be known as Mission Impossible: Fallout.
No, this has nothing to do with the video game series of the same name although nuclear warheads could play a part in the story.
Speaking of the story, Paramount Pictures released a synopsis for the film which you can see posted down below.
The best intentions often come back to haunt you. MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE - FALLOUT finds Ethan Hunt (Tom Cruise) and his IMF team (Alec Baldwin, Simon Pegg, Ving Rhames) along with some familiar allies (Rebecca Ferguson, Michelle Monaghan) in a race against time after a mission gone wrong. Henry Cavill, Angela Bassett, and Vanessa Kirby also join the dynamic cast with filmmaker Christopher McQuarrie returning to the helm.
We should see a trailer for the film very soon, although the movie already had a lot of publicity thanks to Henry Cavill.
Henry Cavill grew out a real mustache for the movie and wasn't allowed to shave it off in order to film re-shoots as Superman for the Justice League movie.
Mission Impossible: Fallout will be released in North America on July 27, 2018. The film was shot in various locations around the world including New Zealand, India, Paris and London.
