Jennette McCurdy, who starred with singing star/noted egomaniac Ariana Grande in the recently canceled Nickelodeon sitcom "Sam & Cat," will be returning to screens in Web series she will be writing as well as starring in.

Though "Sam and Cat" was a hit for Nickelodeon it was cancelled likely because Grande had lost interest in the show as her music career exploded.

That left McCurdy without a project and freed her to move from television and the Internet.

In the new show, "What's Next for Sarah" McCurdy plays the title character, an actress who gained fame on a TV show for tweens and is now forced to figure out what to do with her life.

The show seems more than a bit autobiographical, and since it draws on her own experiences, can we expect to here the truth about what happened with her former co-star?

McCurdy won't address Grande directly, but she will use the show to poke fun at some of the people she has met during her long acting career, which including a successful sting on Nickelodeon's iCarly.

"I wanted 'What's Next for Sarah' to be a light-hearted call-out to some of the more absurd experiences I've faced growing up in the entertainment industry," McCurdy told The Hollywood Reporter.

Multiple episode of the show are available now at http://www.whatsnextforsarah.com/.
