The Dragon Ball Z renaissance is in full effect. The popular anime is currently being used to promote soft drinks.

Kirin Mets Cola is a dietary soft drink that targets "men in their 30s worried about putting on weight," according to the New York Daily News.

With Dragon Ball Z reaching popularity in the nineties, its fan base meshes well with the soft drink's targeted demographic.

Two commercials have been released, and they feature iconic characters from the anime dancing to upbeat music. It is strange, however, seeing Frieza dance to an encouraging tune. More than anything, it feels like a taunt to the legendary Dragon Ball baddie.

Frieza wanted to be immortal in the anime. But the good guys thwarted his plans, using the Dragon Balls to revive the people who Frieza killed.

In the commercial, the song states, "You can be anything you want to"-- except in Frieza's case.

Immortality was always out of his reach, and he was sentenced to live in Dragon Ball Z's underworld after Trunks diced him into bite-sized pieces.

Dragon Ball Z: Revival of F launches in Japan next month. It is the follow up movie to 2013's Battle of Gods.

Frieza returns as the titular villain, and he will boast a shiny new form. We will see if the iconic villain finally gets his wish for immortality.
