Andrew Dice Clay appeared on "The View" to gab about his new book, and tell jokes about Nicki Minaj.

When people say they don't like Nick Minaj's voice, Dice Clay doesn't even know what they're talking about. "I don't even turn up the volume," Dice Clay said.

Nicki Minaj, however, could probably care less about whether or not Andrew Dice Clay listens to her music.

In between all the controversy surrounding her "Only" video, and hosting the European Music Awards, Minaj has more important things to worry about.

As a stand up comedian, he portrays a ridiculous, chain-smoking, rough talking New Yorker.

"Because I love acting, I had to develop my own stage persona. That's how I got into the whole Brooklyn thing," he told Whoopi Goldberg and Rosie Perez.

He has a new book coming out called "The Filthy Truth".

The Amazon summary reads: "Andrew Dice Clay's raw stand-up delivery has shocked and entertained audiences for decades and continues to do so to this day.

When he released his debut album, Dice, in 1989, the parental advisory label simply read "Warning: This album is offensive." His material stretched the boundaries of decency and good taste to their breaking point, and in turn he became the biggest stand-up comic in the world."

Dice Clay is a legend in the comic world, and his book is highly anticipated.

Mstarz News reported: "Dice Clay's career has been turbulent to say the least; often accused of homophobia and sexism, the outrage and bad press that followed his career it didn't stop him from becoming the first comic to ever sell out two nights at Madison Square Garden."
