When the world lost Robin Williams the entire feeling was utter shock. During a visit to the Chelsea show, his daughter, Zelda Williams, opened up about losing her father and how she coped with the tragedy.

When Williams sat down to chat with Chelsea she showed an incredible amount of strength.

Chelsea Handler wanted to know what the silver lining was after the tragedy and Williams told her that she didn't really grow up in the spotlight so she continued to tell herself that she would wake up every day and love what she did.

"In an emotional and open conversation with Chelsea, Zelda Williams explains the various stages she went through after her father's passing," according to the caption of a video posted to the official Chelsea YouTube channel.

"While she explains that she tried to wake up happy each day, she found solace in her alone time, working hard and eventually writing twelve scripts.

Chelsea notes that often times with grief you can get to 'a really beautiful place because of something tragic that happens.'"

Williams said all you can do is move forward and for awhile no one would let her do anything. It was either "oh sh*t are you okay, and if you were it was like, well what's wrong," she continued.

She told Handler that she was left to her own devices and a lot of great stuff came out of it.

Williams said she wrote 12 scripts during the healing process but wondered if there was something wrong with her. You can watch the clip of Zelda Williams' visit to the Chelsea show in the video below.
