Stern fans have been kept on their toes about Stern's decision to return to "America's Got Talent" or not, and time is ticking down.

A caller Wednesday morning asked if Stern is going to make the decision about "America's Got Talent" this week, though Stern didn't clarify anything either way.

"I have to call the producers and hear what the game plan is," Stern said.

Stern's agents allegedly told him about some great things in store for the future of the show, and Stern thinks positively about the direction.

He has to continue the discussion with the agent before he will make a decision to return.

"There's a part of me that really likes it. I like being in front of an audience, and I like being on a show," Stern said.

Since he began "America's Got Talent", he's built a following and a promising presence.

However, since the discussion of whether or not he will return to the show began, every time it's brought up, Stern discusses how miserable he is.

A few weeks ago, he told listeners how he discussed quitting with his friends and wife, though he's completely torn about the decision.

As Benjy practices his interview skills for his big moment with Beth Stern next week, he peppered Stern with questions about his feelings on the show. "He's frightened to do AGT," Benjy said.

"I'm not frightened, I'm just not sure," Stern said.

Hopefully we'll hear about Howard's final decision soon. Do you think Howard is going to sign on for another season, or take the time for himself away from work?
