The cast for Dragonball Xenoverse keeps expanding. This time, Dimps is adding characters new to the brand.

Beerus and Whis--the antagonists from Dragonball Z: Battle of Gods-- have been confirmed as playable characters in Xenoverse, according to Dual Shockers. In addition, the saiyans' Great Ape forms have been confirmed.

Beerus is the God of Destruction. Born from a deity-producing tree, he spends most of his time sleeping.

But when he's awake, he blows up planets. Easily defeating the Z- Warriors, he is only given proper challenge when Goku becomes a Super Saiyan God.

Whis is Beerus' master who doesn't fight in Battle of Gods, but Beerus insists that he is the stronger member of the duo.

There has been no confirmation about Super Saiyan God Goku's availability in Xenoverse. But Beerus and Whis' announcement is a promising sign for fans hoping to see him in the game.

With Super Saiyan 4 confirmed, the inclusion of Super Saiyan God would make Xenoverse the first game to feature all the transformations for which the franchise is famous.

The Great Ape forms were prevalent early in the series, but lost their appeal after multiple cast members gained the ability to turn Super Saiyan.

The form is dependent on their tail, and the saiyan gains great power at the expense of his or her humanity.

Dragonball Xenoverse is the first game based on the anime to launch for the next-gen consoles. It will be available February 17 for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, and Xbox 360. For more about the upcoming title, visit its official website here.
