The general consensus haven't been all of that happy with The Walking Dead and it seems as if that is beginning to show even more.

The show had its lowest season premiere ratings in five years and we have to wonder if the show is in trouble.

"...the introductory episode to season 8, which aired this past Sunday night, was only able to draw about two-thirds of last year's record high opening audience (Oh, plus they also lost about 40 percent of the coveted 18-49 demo)," according to Complex.

Meanwhile the show even saw a drop in pirated episodes (if you're keeping track of that sort of thing). Let's not get ahead of ourselves here.

While this is the lowest season premiere ratings in the last 5 years, it certainly isn't the lowest that the show has ever had.

According to the Complex report, the show actually saw a lower turnout for its season 3 premiere. So, while the audience has dropped from the last 5 seasons it still seems to have a little life.

It's nowhere near time for the show to start panicking but fans are hoping for a little uptick in the storyline so that the show can return to its glory days.
