Middle Earth: Shadow of Mordor was released to rave reviews. In order to further promote the game's launch, Warner Bros. and Monolith Productions released a trailer that details protagonist Talion's relationship with the wraith that gives him power.

The trailer opens with Talion's family getting killed by orcs. Then, a ghostly figure tells him that he has been banished from death.

The wraith Talion is speaking to in the teaser has significance to the Lord of the Rings universe; the ghost claims to have made the rings of power--deceived by Sauron into doing so.

Middle Earth: Shadow of Mordor was released on Tuesday. And it has gotten favorable reception.

"Shadow of Mordor is a very unique game that has managed to aggressively establish its own identity," the Nerdist stated about the game, "with a clever blend of solid gameplay, solid narrative, and a highly engaging environment.
