Virginia Beach is one of the most popular tourist destinations on the East Coast of the United States. Situated on the Atlantic Ocean, Virginia Beach offers visitors miles of beaches, a lively boardwalk, and a vibrant city center. The area is also rich in history and culture, with plenty of museums, galleries, and historic sites to explore. Here are some of the top tourist attractions in Virginia Beach.
1. Virginia Beach Boardwalk
Extending three miles along the oceanfront of Virginia Beach, the boardwalk is the centerpiece of the city's entertainment district. The boardwalk features shops, restaurants, amusement rides, and live entertainment. It's also an excellent spot to take in the sunrise or sunset over the Atlantic Ocean.
2. First Landing State Park
Covering 2,800 acres, First Landing State Park is where the English colonists first arrived in 1607 before continuing on to Jamestown.
