For bird watchers, Los Cusingos Wildlife Refuge is a must-visit destination. This refuge was once the home of American ornithologist Alexander Skutch and is now home to over 200 species of birds. You can take a guided tour of the property and learn about the different bird species and the history of the refuge.
3. Nauyaca Waterfalls

For history buffs, Finca 6 Archaeological Site is a must-visit destination in Pérez Zeledón. This site was discovered in 2009 and has since been designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It was once an important trading center for the Diquis people who lived in the area around 1000 BCE.
