While TDE is know for rappers, Jay Rock, Ab-Soul, ScHoolboy Q and Kendrick Lamar, the president of the TDE operation Punch has been known to spit some pretty hot verses.

Punch releases "Kings" a new track that shows his lyrical talents.

"Kings" is Punch's ode to the new wave of rap and the younger generation. On "Kings" Punch uses a bit of storytelling mixed with some braggadocios lyrics to get his point across.

He raps about the role models that the younger generation is looking up to while equating it to chasing money for material things.

"The latest release from Punch, 'Kings,' is backed by an instrumental that sounds as though it was recorded live at a jazz club," commented HotNewHipHop.

"Layered piano riffs and remnants of statics give it an old school feeling. According to Punch, this is 'just a quick story based on the years from 1986 through 1998ish.'"

The track does follow the conscious style of TDE and it's Black Hippy crew. It's interesting to see Punch put his TDE Presidency above his talent because the lyrical talent is there.

Who knows maybe the future will see a Punch album. For now you can check out "Kings" below.
