Teen Wolf is one of MTV's well-developed concepts and the saga continues after last season's epic ending with Alison dying, how will the pack band together.

The season opener finds Lydia and Styles in Mexico in what already looks like a bad idea waiting to get worst.

The two end up outside a building and Styles shows what appears to be a playing card or tarot card to the camera.

The two are then permitted into a building where they enter a room that is appears to have a raging party is taking place.

They meet an older woman and ask for Derek, styles hands over what looks like a ransom payment in return for his release.

Scott makes his dramatic entrance into the party as Kira (the fox or Kitsune) is being given a dance lesson by Malia (the were-coyote) the newest member of the squad.

As they bargain with the elder woman who seems to know every single detail of the journey the young team has been through.

After Kira, Scott and Malia win the first battle they suffer from a sneak attack of wolfs bane followed by a taser.

Scott realizes that the woman, who has been revealed to be a hunter, does not know where Derek is either.

A flashback shows Lydia examining bullets she then says that she cannot tell if Derek is dead or alive and that is how the team ends up in Mexico.

Lydia is the only one captured by the hunter and the reason seems to be because she is a banshee.

While Scott, Styles, Kira and Malia try to escape the hunter tries to extract information about Scott, she claims to want to know what kind of alpha he really is.

Kira has the difficult choice of helping the hunter torture Scott for information, however, if she doesn't Lydia suffers the torture. Scott endures the torture while Styles and Malia remain locked in a room.

Styles helps her focus on hearing the voices and as he coaxes her on she plants a big kiss on him.

The hunter insists that Scott knows who has Derek but he insists that he has no idea until the torture makes it clear to Scott that Kate Argent is the one who is keeping Derek captive.

The hunter learns Scott's true power when he overpowers being electrocuted.

After her men fail to retrieve Kate, she lets Scott and his friends go to find Kate; warning him that when he creates a werewolf of his own that is when she will venture into his territory.

Braeden the mercenary leads the crew in a ride to "La Iglesia," Scott recollects how the rivalry between Kate and Derek started and he also tells his friends how a hunter is suppose to kill themselves before they turn into a werewolf if bitten or scratched.

Kira and Scotts relationship builds and he has to leave his friends behind after a blown tire. After future inspection Malia realizes that the flat tire was caused by something other than a bump in the road.

Scott and Braeden head off on her motorcycle racing to reach their destination before dark. As they arrive they encounter a ghost town that was leveled by an earthquake.

Braeden introduces the term werejaguars, which is what Kate is believed to be. The church is said to built upon ancient ruins and that is why it is still standing.

Braeden reveals that her job is to take Kate back to the hunter family.

After spotting something in the distance Malia and Kira chase a creature that was watching them and the creature somehow cuts Malia.

Meanwhile, Scott and Braeden venture into the caves underneath the church but something else is lurking in the dark cave and makes a charge at the two.

The episode concludes as Braeden fires a shot at the creature chasing her and Scott and while the rest of the group tries to figure out what it was that was chasing them. Scott gives his largest growl and whatever seemed to be chasing them was scared off.

What they found behind the wall of the Jaguar god is Derek but he looks very unfamiliar, he appears to be years younger.

This episode sets up a season full of surprises and twists that any fan and newcomers would not see coming.

Last season brought us a werecoyote and a fox, now this season we will be introduced to a werejaguar. What's next? A werepanther perhaps?

It's a show that contains countless amounts of mysteries and the plot line always thickens. This season proves to be a very promising one especially with the new couples (Scott and Kira) (Malia and Styles.)
