If you ever wondered what the true definition of plus size is, Ashley Graham, the model who is gracing the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit cover and making headlines, has the answer during her visit to the Ellen DeGeneres show.

Not only did Graham give the definition, she also shared what is wrong with the label as well.

Graham and DeGeneres sat down and she talked about going from being in an advertisement in the swimsuit issue to landing the cover of the magazine. She told DeGeneres that she was actually excited when she landed the ad but being on the cover is next level.

DeGeneres asked Graham what exactly it means to be plus size and she said that anyone who is a size eight and up is considered a plus size.

She pointed out that the majority of the audience would be considered plus sized.

Graham says the problem is people are telling women that they are plus sized and she just likes to call it "curvasexalicious." The crowd loved the word and applauded Graham for her words. DeGeneres was also surprised to learn that there is a double zero size for woman and Graham says it's scary on both spectrums of weight.

Graham says she is not promotion obesity or bulimia but that there needs to be promotion geared towards women being healthy at any weight.

Graham's cover is the first time in 52 years that a plus size model has graced the cover. She point out that there are three covers one including Rhonda Rousey. So, all body types are represented on each cover. DeGeneres says it's very unhealthy for models because people treat you as if you aren't in the room and judge you pretty hard.

Graham said that it was hard because you start to believe every word that someone says about you. Graham said she finally realized she didn't have to fit in to a certain standard and that she would be the woman that she wanted to be; the woman her mother created her to be.

That's when Graham said her confidence came in.

She says she believes that Sports Illustrated is bridging the gap and allowing women of all sizes and color which is very important. You can check out the full interview in the video below.
