If you were wondering where all of Sia's brilliant songs off of her This Is Acting album came from, wonder no more. Sia shared some pretty interesting information regarding the album during her visit to the Ellen DeGeneres show.

This Is Acting was released on January 29 and contains 12 powerful tracks from the singer/songwriter.

DeGeneres expressed how much she loved Sia's brilliant music and performances but also asked Sia if it was true that the songs on the albums were ones that other artists didn't want.

Sia has written for artists like Rihanna, Kanye West and Adele with some songs being sent back to her at times.

So, to answer DeGeneres' question, yes, the songs were ones that were rejected by other artists who may have already had enough songs for their tracklistings. Incredibly enough "Bird Set Free" was actually written for the movie Pitch Perfect 2 but they did not use the track.

Sia nonchalantly reveals that the album was a bit of fun really.

It is compiled of songs they just had lying around and in her words, she was such a "good chef she was able to whip up something totally delicious" out of them all.

Of course, DeGeneres also presented Sia with a new wig because you can never have too many right?
