The War Dogs film could have went a total different direction from Jonah Hill and Miles Teller as the main characters.

During their visit to The Late Late Show with James Corden, Bradley Cooper and the film's director Todd Phillips revealed that it could have been Corden and Shia Labeouf starring in the film.

Later on in the show during the War Dogs talk, Phillips admitted that James Corden and Shia Labeouf could have been the stars of the movie however, Labeouf got arrested at a production of Cabaret.

Corden said he got a call saying that their audition may not happen because Labeouf got arrested at a Broadway Production of Cabaret.

Phillips said Corden was reading for Teller's part while Corden was playing the part that Hill is playing in the film.

Corden said it was the most amazing day when they actually met. Phillips texted Corden that he was very sorry but the next morning, there was another text saying that the audition was on.

Labeouf was going to meet with them and do a couple of lines from the script.

Corden said he turned on the TV and saw Labeouf walking down the street holding his shoelaces in his hand. He was headed towards the hotel that Corden and Phillips was in.

What's even better was that Corden had footage of the audition that was done, which he shared with Labeouf's permission. The footage featured both Corden and Labeouf doing the lines, however, Labeouf had his sunglasses on with the shoelaces hanging from them.

During the audition Labeouf, who came straight from jail read the line in a joking matter saying that they would be going out to a play.
