When we think of a selfie, the most important part of the photo is, well, yourself.

However, Samuel L. Jackson has a different way of thinking about selfies and he told Ellen DeGeneres all about it during his visit to her show.

Jackson takes pride in the fact that there is a lot less of himself in some of his Instagram selfies. He told DeGeneres that it's really about the thing or the place that he is in, not about him. However, he still wants people to know that it's him taking the photos.

So, he leaves just enough of himself in the photo which really isn't much.

Later on in the show Jackson even got the studio audience involved in one of his signature shots, while also featuring DeGeneres in one that you can find below. It's a pretty hilarious take on the selfie because there isn't much of ones self involved.

Jackson also showed DeGeneres a selfie from the Oscars, which happened to be one of the most recent signatures.

With all this being said, it's important to note that Jackson does have a few normal selfies on his official Instagram page. You can check out his visit to the Ellen DeGeneres show in the video below.
