One of the most well-known comics Robert Smigel, visited the Howard Stern SiriusXM radio show accompanied by his good friend Triumph the Insult Comic Dog..

Smigel talked about his deal with Hulu and much more during his visit.

Stern, Smigel and Triumph got down to talking about the deal with Hulu which Triumph said involved a lot of rejection from Netflix.

"Howard said he thinks he can take over and make Hulu really big. Howard said that his special is very funny," according to MarksFriggin.

"Triumph said it's 90 minutes of him. Howard asked who he confronted in the special."

Stern was referring to the 2016 Election Special on Hulu featuring Triumph the Insult Comic Dog who said he spoke to Mike Huckabee. Meanwhile, Triumph didn't hold back when it came to insulting Stern.

He asked Stern how his kitten business is going and say that his house must smell worst than Gary's breath, according to MF.

Triumph went at the entire Stern crew and eventually Smigel had to come in and save the day.

Smigel was actually the head-writer on the Conan O'Brien show and really wanted to differentiate it from David Letterman's Late Night show.

The idea from Triumph was still brewing at the time and Smigel told Stern it was easy to work with O'Brien because they had the same sense of humor.

Smigel and Stern also discussed one of the toughest years that Saturday Night Live faced.

"He said he was there at Saturday Night Live in 1985 and 86 and that was a tough year. Howard said no one really liked that group. Bob said that he almost got fired," according to MF.

Smigel was the inventor of The Ambiguously Gay Duo on Saturday Night Live, which Stern says is one of the greatest cartoons ever. Smigel got into drawing cartoons and comedy because he was doing too well at Cornell University.

He discussed what it was like to be able to write and throw around ideas with people like Jim Carrey, Stephen Colbert and Lorne Michaels.

He had one of the longest stints in writing for Saturday Nigh Live and was even offered a job working for Seinfeld.

He is an artist with a ton of experience in the industry and a lot of famous comedian friends.

During the interview Smigel revealed that he has a son with autism so when Stern asked him if he had a lot of money he said that much of the money was spent for care of his son.

Smigel believes that Triumph is his most famous creation but he has had many memorable ones in the past.

Stern asked Smigel about the Michael Jackson cartoon which portrayed Jackson as "an adorable child molester." There was a second cartoon written but Smigel says he received a cease and desist from lawyers so it will never be able to run again.

All in all it was a pretty enlightening and comedic visit from Smigel who is one of the most famous comedic names in the business.
